ENG “Those shoes are not my size”, “My feet are hurting”, “Do you have inner soles?” – we’re not in New York, princess! I always thought models comlapining about shoes were just a stereotype, a cliche, a myth. Well, except for the beautiful collection and show this is the first thing I remember about being backstage at Leandro Cano’s. Leandro Cano is this year’s winner of the “Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf” 2012 contest. Due to my internship I had the chance to meet this very inspiring young designer and help both at the fitting and his show at BFW.
Monday, 14th January – models, the designer and his crew, stylist, assistants, bloggers- everyone is gathering together for the fitting in one of Berlin’s studios. One by one all of the models get their outfits, the designer and stylist decide about the running order, the assistant take pictures for the model boards and bloggers for their blogs. The last decisions were made in chaos and it looks like we’re ready for the show. Tuesday, 15th of January – chaos and hurry backstage at the show. Models getting their makeup and hair done, working on the choreography, complaining about the shoes. Stylists checking the outfits and order. Leandro Cano being excited and nervous about his first show at the Fashion Week. Everything and everyone seems tense, but as soon as we hear the people clapping their hands we feel relieved. Next: congratulations and interviews. The show is over!
I won’t write about the colors and fabrics, because that’s why I took pictures. Or maybe I’m being lazy again. I just wanted to get you some impressions of the backstage area!
DE “Das ist nicht meine Schuhgröße”, “Meine Füße tun weh”, “Habt ihr Innensohlen?”- wir sind nicht in New York, Prinzessin! Ich habe immer gedacht, dass Models, die sich über die Schuhe beschweren nur ein Stereotyp, ein Klischee, ein Mythos wären. Naja, abgesehen von der fabelhaften Kollektion und wunderschöner Modenschau ist es das Erste an was ich mich erinnern kann, wenn ich über die Leandro Cano Show hinter den Kulissen denke. Leandro Cano ist diesjähriger Gewinnern von dem “Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf” 2012 Wettbewerb. Infolge von meinem Praktikum hatte ich die Möglichkeit den jungen und dennoch so inspirierenden Designer kennenzulernen und sowohl bei der Anprobe als auch bei der Show auf der BFW zu helfen.
Montag, 14 Januar- die Models, der Designer und seine Crew, die Stylistin, die Assistenten, die Blogger- alle versammeln sich in einem von Berlin Studios für das Fitting. Eins nach dem anderen bekommen die Models ihre Outfits zugeteilt, der Designer und Stylistin beschließen die Reihenfolge, die Assistenten und Blogger nehmen Bilder für die Modelboards und Blogs auf. Die letzten Entscheidungen werden im Chaos getroffen und es sieht danach aus, dass wir für die Show bereit sind. Dienstag, 15 Januar- Chaos uns Eile herrschen backstage. Die Models bekommen ihr Make-up und Haare gemacht, üben die Choreografie, meckern über die Schuhe. Die Stylistin checkt nochmal die Outfits und die Reihenfolge. Leandro Cano wartet ganz aufgeregt und nervös auf seine erste Show auf der Fashion Week. Alles und alle scheinen gespannt zu sein, jedoch als wir das ersten Klatschen hören, sind wir erleichtert. Als nächstes: Glückwünsche und Interviews. Die Show ist vorbei!
Ich werde nicht über die Farben oder Stoffe schreiben, denn dafür habe ich die Bilder gemacht. Oder ich bin einfach mal wieder richtig faul. Auf jeden Fall wollte ich euch einen Eindruck von dem Backstagebereich schaffen!
PL “To nie jest mój rozmiar”, “Bolą mnie stopy”,”Są gdzieś tutaj wkładki do butów?”- nie jesteśmy w Nowym Jorku, księżniczko! Zawsze myślałam, że modelki narzekające na buty to jakiś wymysł, cliché, stereotyp. Pomijając piękną kolekcję i bajkowy pokaz jest to właśnie jedna z rzeczy, które sobie przypominam myśląc o pokazie Leandro Cano.
Leandro Cano jest tegorocznym zwycięzcą konkursu “Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf” 2012. Z powodu mojej praktyki miałam okazję poznać tego młodego a zarazem bardzo inspirującego projektanta i pomagać nie tylko przy przymiarkach ale także przy całym pokazie.
Poniedziałek, 14 stycznia – modelki, projektant i jego ekipa, stylistka, asystenci, blogerzy – wszyscy zbierają się w jednym z berlińskich apartamentów na przymiarkę. Jedna za drugą, modelki dostają swoje outfity, projektant i stylistka dyskutują o kolejności, asystenci i blogerzy robią zdjęcia na blogi i tablice modelek. Ostatnie decyzje zostają podjęte w chaosie i wygląda na to, że wsztystko jest gotowe. Wtorek, 15 stycznia – chaos i pośpiech za kulisami pokazu. Makijaż i włosy, ćwiczenie choreografii, narzekanie na buty. Sprawdzanie kolekcji i kolejności. Leandro Cano podniecony i zdenerwowany czeka na swój pierwszy pokaz podczas tygodnia mody w Berlinie. Wszystko i wszycy wydaje się być napięte. Ulga i radość po pierwszych oklaskach. Gratulacje i wywiady. Koniec pokazu!
Nie będę pisać o kolorach i materiałach, bo po to robiłam zdjęcia. A może znów jestem po prostu za leniwa. Tak czy siak chciałam wam przekazać moje wrażenia zza kulis tego pokazu!
